Have fun and begin to learn on the Mini-Course at Cattail Creek

Built as a new-to-golf learning facility for all ages, the Mini-Course is the perfect environment to learn the game of golf the fun and easy way. The Mini-Course offers 9 Holes of Mini-Course golf that you play with just 2 clubs and a unique ball specially designed for Starting New at Golf (SNAG) golfers.

Learn how to "manage" the course as you play the Mini-Course with your new full swing, pitch, chip and putt skills. No need for you to buy new shoes, new clothes, or fancy clubs - just come, try it, and have fun!

Have fun on the driving range

You've practiced the four strokes of golf (the pitch, chip, putt and full swing) on the Mini-Course with the specialized equipment.  Now, transfer your new skills to regulation golf equipment and practice on the driving range. 

You can use our driving range club set (a set of 2 or three clubs) for FREE. Just ask at the pro shop counter. Take some time on the range and feel comfortable with the new equipment and your new skills here.  

Have fun and play 3 holes of golf on the regulation par 3, 9-hole Cattail Creek Golf Course

Okay, so you've practiced the four strokes you'll need in order to play golf on the Mini-Course and on the range. Now, take those skills for a test drive and play 3 holes of golf on the regulation 9-hole course. 

No, you don't have to play all 9 holes; as a matter of fact, we encourage only playing 3 holes as you learn and we have a special rate available for just that purpose.

There are 4 tee areas: the yellow, red, white and blue for you to try. Begin at the forward yellow tees and work your way back until you find the tee area that allows you to have the most fun without any stress. Golf is fun!

Have fun and play 9 holes of golf on the regulation par 3, 9-hole Cattail Creek Golf Course

You've played 3 holes of golf and had a great time and great success. Now, extend that knowledge and skill to all 9 holes. 

Use the tee area that makes sense for you. If you want more of a challenge, play the course from the blue tees as a par 4. When you're ready, move up to 9 holes on one of the two 18-hole courses. 

You are well on your way to enjoying the game of golf for many years to come.

What is the Mini-Course at Cattail Creek? 

The Cattail Creek Mini-Course is a 9-hole mini golf facility that combines a 9-hole real grass putting course with 9-holes of SNAG®-friendly golf. The putting course aspect of the new course is exactly as it sounds, a real-grass golf course played only with a putter. The S.N.A.G.®-Friendly portion of the course is integrated seamlessly into the putting course and incorporates the use of special S.N.A.G.® equipment. And YES, they both can be played at the same time!

What Is S.N.A.G.?

SNAG® stands for "Starting New at Golf." It is a fun game that is easy to learn at any age. SNAG® contains all the elements of golf but in a modified form. Falling somewhere between miniature golf and regulation golf, SNAG® allows for full shots, pitching, chipping, and putting. Any age group can play, and it's perfect for inexpensive family fun! S.N.A.G.® does not require any previous playing experience!
